The next generation of American Idol

Omigoodness I have so much to post about, but i am trying to get ready for Women's conference and jamba juice right now so I will probably just post this and then finish updating when I get back. So if any of you know my Hannah you know that Dramatic is a good way to describe her. Tonight when Kerry got home from work she informed him that he was invited to her concert which would be at 11:00. I asked her what time it was now (since Kerry was already seated in the audience) and she said 2:00. SO Kerry had to wait. Fortunately time goes by faster for a four year old and about 30 seconds later the show began. She waited until we all had gathered at the bottom of the stairs, looked through her "songbook" to choose her song, then mounted the stairs to her stage. Her song was priceless! I wish that I had thought to bring out the camera earlier. It was about her life (seriously I have never seen a one woman show but I think that she may have a future on Broadway). She sang about each year of her life and what she did. Then ended with "When I grow up I am going to marry Ethan Piet!" And took her bow. It was so funny, especially because she paused between each year and we clapped but she would just put her hands on her hips and say "Guys it's not over yet!" So this is her encore, I was really hoping that she would just sing the same song again, but like a true artist, she had something new. I am a little worried though why is she singing about having no friends? Anyways, just listen, and don't forget to pause the music at the bottom of my post so you can get the full effect. p.s sorry it is sideways I didn't think of that when I took the video. Oh and look forward to the debut of Zach and Jared just as soon as I have time. okay my internet is screwy so I will try again tomorrow

Hannah cracks me up

So I just have to write this really fast b/c my sweet girl makes me laugh everyday. This is why today.

Me: Hannah, are you ready for your shower?

Hannah: (while raising her arm and smelling her underarm) Wheeew-eee my pits stink!(than walking over to her Daddy) Daddy do your pits stink? Let me smell... Wheew-ee Daddy your pits stink! (climbing on my lap) Mommy let me smell your pits...MMM your pits smell good, Mommy. (then very matter-of-factly) Daddy, you should wash your pits. (pause as if thinking) But I still love you!

I was laughing so hard! Now just so you don't get the wrong picture in your head, we do not go around as a family smelling each other's body parts. Hannah did smell her own "pits" but then just stuck her face in Kerry's arm and bent over while she was on my lap to "smell" my "pits". That girl just makes my day, and I have to say that she is more like her Aunt April everyday, and apparently a little like her Granddad or at least his nose. And it did warm her Daddy's heart that even though he was smelly she still loved him. I mean what more could you ask for?

It's not so bad, and Easter pics

So, it has been 2 weeks now with no caffiene, and I have to say that it is no big deal! The first few days were rough, I won't lie. The headaches were amazingly awful, but now I don't have them anymore and I haven't really had anymore cravings. I have to admit that I thought about driving through sonic a couple of times, but my sweet husband reminded me of my pledge and that I don't want to let Katie down not that she is doing it with me, so I stayed strong. One more week and then it will be a habit right? Plus, I found a couple of things to help me. Maverick has caffiene free diet coke as does Sam's Club, and my mom and I drove through sonic yesterday and I thought that I would just have to do without or get a water (I mean really who goes to sonic to get water), but then my creative juices started flowing and I remembered Friday night Kerry and I went to dinner (water with lemon is growing on me) and this obnoxiously loud teenager in the next booth was talking about how she ALWAYS got Shirley Temples with extra cherries so she could tie a knot in them with her tongue...ANYWAYS back to Sonic, so I ordered a Diet Sprite with Diet Cherry flavoring. Can I just say yum! I don't need Diet Coke I have plenty of other options.
So Easter was lots of fun. The kids were way cute. We got together with Kerry's family Friday for a hunt and Kerry's mom's birthday and then my brothers and sister and parents on Saturday night and Sunday. Here are some pics: (if I do this right)

On the hunt!
I have more, including some really cute ones of my nephew but I need to talk to his parents and make sure it's okay to post them so to be continued...p.s it occurs to me now that these pics would have been equally cute in a slide show that would not have taken me so long to post. Oh well!
