So, it has been 2 weeks now with no caffiene, and I have to say that it is no big deal! The first few days were rough, I won't lie. The headaches were amazingly awful, but now I don't have them anymore and I haven't really had anymore cravings. I have to admit that I thought about driving through sonic a couple of times, but my sweet husband reminded me of my pledge and that I don't want to let Katie down not that she is doing it with me, so I stayed strong. One more week and then it will be a habit right? Plus, I found a couple of things to help me. Maverick has caffiene free diet coke as does Sam's Club, and my mom and I drove through sonic yesterday and I thought that I would just have to do without or get a water (I mean really who goes to sonic to get water), but then my creative juices started flowing and I remembered Friday night Kerry and I went to dinner (water with lemon is growing on me) and this obnoxiously loud teenager in the next booth was talking about how she ALWAYS got Shirley Temples with extra cherries so she could tie a knot in them with her tongue...ANYWAYS back to Sonic, so I ordered a Diet Sprite with Diet Cherry flavoring. Can I just say yum! I don't need Diet Coke I have plenty of other options.
So Easter was lots of fun. The kids were way cute. We got together with Kerry's family Friday for a hunt and Kerry's mom's birthday and then my brothers and sister and parents on Saturday night and Sunday. Here are some pics: (if I do this right)

Does he look ready or what?

Jared was so proud of his eggs

On the hunt!
I have more, including some really cute ones of my nephew but I need to talk to his parents and make sure it's okay to post them so to be continued...p.s it occurs to me now that these pics would have been equally cute in a slide show that would not have taken me so long to post. Oh well!

Congrats on the two weeks. I am so proud of you. I have cut back but not stopped. I have made a very hard decision to not stop and get something from 7-11 (we don't have a sonic here :< oh well) but I have been really good to only have it with a fast food meal or something like that and since we are broke from moving there haven't been to many of those so way to go, good for you.
I have to admit that stopping hasn’t been very hard and I don’t crave diet coke at all. I do however crave Braq’s root beer. Strange I know. But in all fairness I haven’t gone out to eat at all. I did however stop at McDonalds last night after class and got a cheeseburger and there it was, staring at me. I was brave however and just drank the water I had in the car. It was the first real test. Stay strong!
amber your kids are so grown up and Hannah how funny! she is very pretty. jenn
Hey Amber. It's really good to see you and your family doing well. It's been a long time since I've seen any of you Nelsons. I was just talking to Garrett about his wedding today and it would be good to see all your family again. Seeing your blog and your brother and sister's blogs brings back memories of hanging out at the Nelson house and makes me miss Bullhead a little. Hope all is well and congrats on your caffeine obstaining.
Just an FYI I had previously commented under my wife's profile.
