Yes it is so sad but the time has come for me to end my relationship with diet coke! Caffiene to be more specific. Over Easter we had a lot of fun (I will post more about that later), and Zach was getting everyone drinks. A lot of the family wanted diet cokes and he- wanting to be like everyone else- asked for a diet coke too. i told him no, it wasn't good for him and he looked at me with those big brown eyes of his and asked
"Then why do you drink it, Mom?"
It really made me think, why DO I drink it? It doesn't really taste all that great, just something besides water (and it is 0 points). So I am going cold turkey! No more caffiene. Kerry is way excited b/c I get at least one a day from Sonic so he says if I give up diet coke I can probably put a kid or two through college, he's funny I know. Our Sonic lady will probably miss us, but I think that what we are doing is for the best. So, i will shed a few tears and then stoically bid a fond farewell to my good friend "D.C. with lemon" I'm posting all this b/c I need some accountability and if any of the addicts in my life want to join in my quest to be caffiene free I'm here if you need to talk. *wink* Goodbye dear friend!!!

Have fun with the headaches. If I go a few days and don't drink caffeine, I get one. Good Luck! This addict will be staying happily addicted for the near future.
Oh I bet you have had some major headaches. I love diet coke too. I have gone off it twice since we moved and the second time was worse. Nothing beats it and nothing replaces it. Especially from Sonic! Keep uit up though, it's totally worth it. Maybe I will join you. I sure could use it. Well that is right after I finish the super big gulp that is sitting in the fridge!
I am glad you are giving it up. I think I am not going to go back after this baby. It will be easier that way since the addiction is now gone!!
I haven’t had any caffeine since you posted this and I have decided that I am going to join you. I tried to get Stephen to do it also, but he hasn’t given in yet….
