I am so excited that I found my camera (actually Kerry found it). And what better way to celebrate than with an evening of Snugglerz wrestle mania! Incase you don;t know Snugglerz are basically pillowcases, but my kids have so much fun with them. Granny bought these for them. Jared's is bigger than him, it makes us laugh!

Daddy's goofy!
So I was thinking that my kids say the cutest things sometimes. And I think that I will try to post when they do so I won't forget them when I am old and gray. I thought about starting this when this morning Kerry told Jared,
"You're Goofy (as in silly)"
To which my sweet 2-year-old replied,
"I not goofy, I Mickey. Daddy's goofy!"
And then this afternoon on the way to get Zach I told jared that he was silly. My sweet son is very sure of himself and apparently knows who he is. he says,
"I not silly, I cute!"
I am so thankful that I get to be around for these moments. There are days like the other day when I want to pull my hair out, and then there are days like today when I know that I am doing the right thing.
And while I am on the subject of cute things my kids say. Tonight at the dinner table we were talking about April's baby and what she might name it. Hannah thinks Sleeping Beauty would be a good choice and Zach thinks Charles if it is a boy and Sarah if it is a girl. I said,
"No, Zach I love the name Sarah, I want that name for our next baby."
"No mom I love that name," he says, "It will be good for Aunt April's baby."
So I say, "If you like that name so much why don't you wait until you grow up and get married and you have a baby girl and you can name her Sarah?"
"Yeah," he says, "but Mom what if my wife doesn't choose to name the baby Sarah."
You tell me what I am teaching that boy. He knows who makes the final decision!! I love my babies. I want to know who told them they could get so big so fast. sigh.

How many years would I get for...?
Of course I am not going to harm my children, but omigoodness!!! So Thursday is laundry day. I am upstairs doing laundry listening to sounds of Dora echoing up the stairs. I get a load in the washer and am thinking about how much I love my new 4 compartment laundry basket that rolls. As I go downstairs to tackle the breakfast dishes humming "we did it, we did it" I am met by a sight that would make any mom's skin crawl (I'm still shaking from the adreline rush). My 2 year old is standing in the middle of the living room shaking a cup full of milk making it "rain" all around him. He's soaking wet and as I run to stop him it's like one of those scenes out of a bad horror flick- I see the couch with milk spinkles all over it, then pan to the kids table with milk dripping down the legs onto the carpet, then to the blurry pic of Dora and Boots on the tv (blurry b/c the screen is covered with dripping milk) then to the almost empty gallon of milk sitting in a puddle on a chair, and finally to the boss behind it all--Hannah my sweet 4 year old who knows I know...
"Mom, I'm sorry I'm sorry. It wasn't me, it was Jared. I didn't do anything."
My expression must have been terrifying because she kept coming up with excuses, and backing away. I am proud of myself, though, b/c in a relatively calm voice I say,
"Hannah where do we drink the milk?"
"In the kitchen," comes the timid reply.
"That's right, now go to your room and sit on your bed until I get there." (that one was not so calm)
"Jared you go to your room, too. We do not (I couldn't even think what to call it) splash milk all over the living room (is the best I could come up with) we drink our milk at the table."
Now you have to understand Jared rarely gets in trouble and most of the time it is because of his siblings (mostly his sister) so he is way confused about what go to your room even means. So I walk him up the stairs, stop to spank Hannah because she is in the playroom instead of her room, and then take off his milk-soaked clothes and put him on his bed saying,
"You are in time-out stay on your bed until Mommy comes to get you."
He just started crying, but he has stayed. I went downstairs to clean up fulling expecting to be followed, but they must have known that I mean business. I felt like crying a little as I mopped up the milk from everywhere- really everywhere. Then I vacuumed up the oreos (guess I found why she got the milk out in the first place). I am still debating cleaning the carpet. Then I went upstairs and decided to blog it to help me calm down, and who knows maybe it will be funny someday. The thing that gets me the most is how fast they were able to create such havoc. I literally took the clothes out of the dryer, put them on my bed, put the clothes from the washer into the dryer, started it, added laundry soap to the washer, went to roll my cool laundry basket to the laundry room, loaded the washer and started it. Maybe I went a little slower because I was in a really good mood. HA!
Okay I am significantly calmer, it is time to go release them from solitary. I don't even know what kind of punishment to implement. I am thinking that Hannah is no longer allowed to get food without asking, but is that enough? And Jared is still probably not sure why Mom stopped all the fun in the first place. And do you know who I really blame for this? HOLLYWOOD. Yep, have you seen that stupid paper towel commercial where that kid accidently sprays his mom with orange soda? And then she squirts him with the water from the sink? Yea- fun- but do they show how long it takes to clean up that mess? yea your paper towels are absorbant, but the little puddle you show in the commercial is nothing compared to the mess the "FUN" mom and her son just made. I mean really what are we teaching our kids?! What? I could just not let my kids watch tv? Huh, hadn't thought of that.
Okay I'm off to be the bad cop (there is no good cop today) wish me luck!

I will get the hang of this sooner or later!
So the slideshow below was supposed to go with the post below it, but I can;t figure out how to put it all in the same post. Does anyone know? Oh well tomorrow will be a busy day so I might not get to post so Happy Valentine's Day all.

So tomorrow being Valentine's Day it got me thinking about my Valentine and all that we have been through in the past 7 years of marriage and 12 years of dating (man I feel old!). We have had 3 beautiful children, graduated dental school, had 2 dogs before we realized we are not pet people, and moved 11 times. Then it got me thinking about how truly blessed we are. And it made me realize that I need to take more pictures. But here we are through the years- man time flies- and I am still as head over heels for my guy as I was when it all started a homecoming date freshman year.

Cool new look
Do you love my new blog design? I got it at Matie Kay creations. I will figure this stuff out sooner or later. In the meantime I am having so much fun playing with all the stuff you can do to a blog. Maybe next I will add a slideshow!
Okay that didn't work. I told you I am new at this I'll figure it out

THIS is our new house. I love it!!! It is nice to have so much room. We have been living here since November. Well that 's it my first (i guess really second nope third) official post. I can;t wait to get better at it and read more from my friends.
Okay so I'm joining the 21st century
Alright! I give. I will start a blog. Actually I am very excited to have a way (other that myspace) to communicate with family and friends, and let everyone know what is going on with us. I have done some research into blogging (i.e. spending hours online reading other peoples blogs and being further intimidated by each one) so I think it will be a lot of fun. Mind you I am a rookie so don't expect anything too wonderful yet.
So I will start with an update...April's pregnant! I know that has nothing to do with me, but it is the most exciting thing happening with us right now, and all Hannah can talk about. Of course it has to be a girl b/c ,"All we have are boys," as Hannah says. And not surprisingly, this pregnancy has brought out all the well meaning albeit annoying questions, "So when are you going to have another one?" and "Should we be expecting an announcement from you soon?" Have you people met my children? I am quite happy with the 3 I have and believe me they keep me plenty busy! But who knows? We'll see.
Anyways, we are so glad to be home- back in Bullhead- it is great to have family so close. Here is our new house. Maybe did that work?
