Daddy's goofy!

So I was thinking that my kids say the cutest things sometimes. And I think that I will try to post when they do so I won't forget them when I am old and gray. I thought about starting this when this morning Kerry told Jared,

"You're Goofy (as in silly)"

To which my sweet 2-year-old replied,

"I not goofy, I Mickey. Daddy's goofy!"

And then this afternoon on the way to get Zach I told jared that he was silly. My sweet son is very sure of himself and apparently knows who he is. he says,

"I not silly, I cute!"

I am so thankful that I get to be around for these moments. There are days like the other day when I want to pull my hair out, and then there are days like today when I know that I am doing the right thing.

And while I am on the subject of cute things my kids say. Tonight at the dinner table we were talking about April's baby and what she might name it. Hannah thinks Sleeping Beauty would be a good choice and Zach thinks Charles if it is a boy and Sarah if it is a girl. I said,

"No, Zach I love the name Sarah, I want that name for our next baby."

"No mom I love that name," he says, "It will be good for Aunt April's baby."

So I say, "If you like that name so much why don't you wait until you grow up and get married and you have a baby girl and you can name her Sarah?"

"Yeah," he says, "but Mom what if my wife doesn't choose to name the baby Sarah."

You tell me what I am teaching that boy. He knows who makes the final decision!! I love my babies. I want to know who told them they could get so big so fast. sigh.
