So, Zach handled the whole thing like an old pro. He spent the morning telling Hannah what to expect and what to do. It was so cute, once we got to the school, he gave her the tour, holding her hand the entire time. He is such a good big brother. Of course once it was time to see his classroom he ran ahead of all of us!
I have to say as much as I was looking forward to it, I was just a little sad that Hannah was so okay about it. My little girl doesn't need me anymore! We took her to her classroom and introduced her to her teacher and she says,
"Mom are you staying?"
I said, "no sweetie I have to go, but you'll have a good day."
She thought about it for about a second and said,
"Okay, bye!"
And ran off to the playground, leaving me staring with my mouth open, wanting to scream,
"Wait, my baby don't you want Mommy to help you get settled? Aren't you going to miss me a little bit? Who told you you could grow up so fast?!"
I'm not sure who was more upset, me or Jared? Cuz Jared wanted to go to school too and was DEVASTATED that he wasn't going.
So we picked our selves up, had a good cry and then dried our tears and went to Chili's. I mean what else could we have done?!
I honestly don't know what to do with myself with just Jared! We have gone shopping each day this week. It is light years easier to go places with just one kid! Although, I am looking forward to when all my friends kids start school too so we can have some playdates and library, and stuff like that, but for now I am just enjoying this time in my life. Jared and I are having a blast just hanging out. Of course I'm probably not teaching him the best things when we drop the kids off at school and he says, "Mom, I sad I not going to school, I need a cherry slush and you need a diet coke with lemon on the vip card." He knows!!!!!
